A long time customer approached us with a product they were developing to monitor available car parking spaces and the time cars were parked in city car parks.  Our customer had a plastic housing that needed to be water tight in order to protect the electronics inside.  So Better industrial was tasked with designing a seal that provided water tightness and was also tough and durable enough to withstand harsh weather conditions, vehicles driving over the units and even vandalism. 

We launched a prototyping process and water tightness testing began.  The units were filled with flour and put through one hour long washing machine cycles and as the units had a number of openings and joins, our team had to develop a number of different solutions to ensure the best seal possible.

The design solution that was agreed upon, has meant success for these car parking units and they can now be found all around the world lasting many years in harsh environments.
